I had no idea you had to oil a shredder! I'm glad Swordfish told me about this when I recently bought a 1000XC machine - by oiling, or lubricating as they said, it will prolong the shredders life. No brainer really buying the bottle of oil - should last a year I guess - although I beleive you can also buy oil sachets that last a year - I'll look at that next time - Thank You Swordfish!!
